2008 Press Release
Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids Selects NavigationArts for Website Redesign
MCLEAN, VIRGINIA, August 27, 2008 – NavigationArts has been selected by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, a leading non-profit advocacy organization founded to lead the fight to reduce tobacco use in the United States and around the world, to design a new online presence that more effectively engages their constituents in support of their mission, through a user-centered Web experience.
NavigationArts will work with the website’s key stakeholders to build consensus around an online strategy that aligns user needs with organizational goals. The resulting strategy will form the foundation for a new website design that will establish www.tobaccofreekids.org as the online destination for advocacy and information on tobacco control policy.
The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids must communicate effectively with a diverse set of constituencies through its website – audiences that range from policymakers who influence legislation to activists, donors, and the media. It will be important to tailor the user experience to these distinct audiences so that they can quickly find the information that is relevant to them, and easily engage in action on their behalf. NavigationArts is adept at prioritizing content for varied audiences and structuring the site to create intuitive pathways for finding content and interacting online.
"NavigationArts is excited to apply our expertise developing effective web strategy, information architecture, and visual design to build an engaging web presence for The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids," said Leo Mullen, NavigationArts’ CEO. "NavigationArts will ensure that their new website is aligned with their organizational goals and helps them serve their important mission to the fullest extent possible."
